چکیده
Abstract: Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) is one of the three most common types congenital heart disease in world. Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) a complication that can be found patients with secundum type ASD. There no research shows relationship between patient’s age and defect size increased pulmonary artery pressure ASD Indonesia, so further needs to done. Material Methods: This study retrospective using an observational analytical design cross sectionalapproach. The data from this were taken medical records at Cardiology Vascular Department Dr. Soetomo Public Hospital Surabaya. Results: Sex distribution was dominated by female total 53 people (81.5%), group 20-24 years as many 18 (27.7%). comorbidities adult (3.08%) minor CAD (3.08%). mean diameter 28.03±9.57 mm, for smallest 4 mm largest 48 mm. Complications PA 20 mild PH (30.8%) mPAP 39.87±19.03. Eisenmenger syndrome. Conclusion: correlation patient inter-atrial septal pressure.

Integrated Percutaneous Atrial Septal Defect Occlusion and Pulmonary Balloon Valvuloplasty
Introduction: Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) is one of the most common congenital heart diseases during childhood. Today, ASD closure is done by occlutech device via cardiac catheterization. ASD repair with transcatheter technique has shown high closure rate. However, coexistence of severe pulmonary stenosis and large defect in atrial septum is rare. When these two problems coexist, the result is i...
متن کاملAtrial Septal Defect with Normal Pulmonary Arterial Pressure in Adult Cyanotic Patient
A 22-year-old male presented with recurrent stroke, central cyanosis, and dyspnea. Transesophageal echocardiography and cardiac catheterization revealed bidirectional shunt flow through atrial septal defect (ASD) without pulmonary arterial hypertension. The orifice of inferior vena cava facing towards ASD opening led partially right to left shunt resulting in cyanosis with normal pulmonary arte...
متن کاملPulmonary arterial pressure-flow characteristics in atrial septal defect: comparative study with ventricular septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus.
Pulmonary arterial pressure-flow relation was studied in 142 patients with artrial septal defect (ASD) and was compared with that of 139 patients with ventricular septal defect (VSD) and was compared with that of ductus arteriosus (PDA). The incidence of pulmonary arterial mean pressure (PAm) over 25 mmHg was 21 percent in ASD, 36 percent in VSD and 43 percent in PDA, and that over 40 mmHg was ...
متن کاملSeptal Defect and Severe Pulmonary Hypertension Correlation with Response of Pulmonary Arterial Pressure
SUCCESS in the surgical treatment of children who have large ventricular septal defects is dependent in part on the proper selection of patients for operation. The patients most deser-ving of such correction are those who have severe pulmonary hypertension, and it is in these that the decision to offer surgical intervention may present the greatest problems. The factors influencing the increase...
متن کاملRight‐side pulmonary agenesis with atrial septal defect in adult
Pulmonary agenesis, a rare congenital condition, is incompatible with life when present bilateral, while unilateral agenesis is usually detected in infancy or early childhood. Rare asymptomatic patients may reach adulthood undiagnosed, with signs mimicking common conditions presenting as radiopaque hemithorax with ipsilateral mediastinal shift. Here, we describe a case of a young lady, with his...
